What one meal can do
A day of hot meals, cold drinks and football with the children we serve.
By midday the children were already lining up, plastic plates in hand. Some of the older ones held younger brothers and sisters by the hand so they would not miss their turn.
Our team served hot food straight from the big cooking pots, one plate at a time. The youngest children sat together in the shade of a shelter with cups of juice, and all along the lane small groups sat on doorsteps sharing their meal. More than once we saw an older girl or boy feeding a little one before eating themselves.
More than food
A meal meets an urgent need, but it is also a chance to spend time with children and show them they matter. Once everyone had eaten, the football came out, and the lane filled with shouting, laughing and a lot of running.

Every outreach is made possible by people who give. If you would like to help us hold the next one, you can give online or speak to us about partnering as a church.
